Your files stay yours

Docfy is built so that documents and photos never leave your device. No accounts, no file storage, no upload endpoint.

Files are not uploaded

All processing happens in the browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. When you choose a file, the browser reads it locally. No file content, filename or metadata is transmitted to a server.

No accounts, no file storage

Docfy does not create accounts and does not store your documents. Closing the tab discards everything.

Analytics

Docfy counts a small, fixed set of anonymous events to see whether the tools work — for example that a file was selected, that cleaning succeeded, or that a download started. These counts go to a first-party endpoint on docfy.me and are stored as event records without identifiers in our own database.

The payload is limited to an event name, the page path, the tool name, coarse buckets (file count, duration, viewport size, country) and the three UTM parameters when present. It never includes the file, its name, its size, its metadata, or any identifier that survives the page load — no cookies, no local storage, no device fingerprint. Counting is skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We do not load third-party analytics scripts.

Advertising

Some pages reserve space for advertising. When ads are enabled, the page may load Google AdSense, which can use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads. Ad scripts never receive your files: cleaning and conversion already happen locally before any ad request is relevant. You can block ad personalisation in Google Ad Center, or use a browser that blocks third-party cookies.

Local dependencies

The PDF library and the display typeface used by the tools are self-hosted on this domain. Loading a page does not send your data to a third-party CDN.
